Wordmarks

The wordmark is a supporting identifying element of the graphic identity system for Metro State. Wordmarks are to be used when the space available for the College logo is too small to meet the identity standards. It can also be used when the College name is a graphic element in the design of wearables, Web sites and publications.

Situations resulting in the use of the wordmark must be approved by College Communications to ensure consistent application of identity standards.

Contact the Office of College Communications for access to downloadable wordmarks.

Four different wordmarks have been developed to achieve a versatile yet unified visual identity. The four may be used interchangeably; there is no one preferred form.

Metro State Wordmarks use either Metropolitan State College of Denver or Metro State.

The Metro State wordmark should be used on all College publications, whether in print or electronic form. Officially recognized Metro State departments, programs, institutes and staff are authorized to use the wordmark to represent the College.

When the wordmark does not appear on the front cover of a print publication, it should be used on the back cover or in another highly prominent location.
