Real-World Education

Real-world learning. We don’t just talk about real-world learning. We live it! Our faculty are expert practitioners in their fields. Our students work while they’re enrolled and many have significant professional experiences to share with you and other classmates. And, with convenient access to the city, our classes work with area businesses to solve urban problems.

Real Student, Real Life. Read about A Day in the Life of a Metro State college student in our Metro Blogs. You will get an inside, personal view of what it is like to be a Metro State student.Metro State is Denver. Metro State and its students reflect Denver’s rich mixture of ethnicity, economic background, age and culture. In fact, we enroll the highest number of ethnic minorities in the state. The College’s accessibility is made possible through its location, affordable tuition and financial aid awards.

A unique campus advantage. Metro State’s main location is on the Auraria Campus, set in a 127-acre park-like site that adjoins downtown Denver. Sharing the campus with the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center and the Community College of Denver, our students benefit from the combined resources of three institutions:

  • More than 1 million square feet of classroom, laboratory and office space
  • Smart classrooms wired for Internet access
  • 184,000-square-foot library featuring the latest in digital access to information resources
  • Wireless Internet access areas in most campus buildings

The campus is walking distance from cultural and entertainment hot spots including the Denver Performing Arts Complex, the Invesco Field at Mile High, the Pepsi Center, the 16th Street Mall and many more.

Satellite campuses include Metro South, 5660 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard in Englewood, and Metro North, 11990 Grant Street in Northglenn.
